Housing vouchers will make sure they (and the thousands of other people around the country) aren’t evicted back onto the street. #RentReliefNow
Vouchers can also help people leaving domestic violence situations, exiting institutional care, and help people with disabilities secure safe housing, all of whom are at high risk of sustained/repeated homelessness. #RentReliefNow
And there’s no extension of the eviction moratorium extension. The absolute easiest thing to do didn’t make it on the Senate Republican’s list. Alone the extension isn’t enough but it is definitely needed to help close gaps. #RentReliefNow
The Senate Republican #COVIDRelief package does include $3.2 billion to cover mostly operational costs for those currently receiving rental assistance. This helps #housing agencies avoid cutting their programs. Important to do but not nearly enough. #RentReliefNow
The next federal #COVIDRelief package must include emergency short-term rental assistance, emergency #housing vouchers, #homelessness assistance, & extensions of income support. Millions of people are depending on it! #RentReliefNow
