Guys I don't understand what promotions you're looking for the album... normally artists would probably have a PR event (but this isn't possible right now), TV guesting or magazine interview to announce & promote the release of their album. SB19 has actually done those and more.

They're doing daily features about the tracks, they're going to release an album sampler. SonyPH has featured them on their FB page. People from Billboard have taken notice. Various publications & news programs have announced the data of release. I mean.. that's how it is done

If we want to put the album on the charts, as fans, well that's up to us. The assumption is that the power is now in the hands of consumers (caveat venditor) because everything you need to know to have access to a record or album is already out there in the web.

It's not up to the label to spoonfeed the listeners with "how do you download this from iTunes" or "how do you stream this on spotify". Have you really seen an agency or label promote an album in such a way??? Like seriously? Because I would be happy to be corrected on this

And don't be asking Sony (because they're the label handling this album) or SB19 to publish or share their marketing plan.. like seriously? Why?

Also, Sony carries so many artists in their label. If they promote SB19's album differently than they do their other artists, that would hardly be fair

I know that some of us have influence over others pero all us have the capacity to think for ourselves. I observed we're so easily 'convinced' by really, strong, powerful narratives. That's OK but I hope that we also find time to actually THINK before we get into the hype.

I don't buy albums or records. But that fact that I'm willing to buy multiple ones for this album already shows that whatever they (showbt, sony, SB19) are doing is working.

I'll listen to Chromatica on Spotify w/ my subscription, I won't buy the album though I love Lady Gaga

I love Hamilton's cast album but I don't need to buy it on iTunes because I have it on Spotify

Regarding ads pala.. had a very nice discussion w/ a co-ATIN; there’s a point of view na there should be more ads on TV, FB, etc & even billboards (the literal ones)

My take on this naman - those kinds of ads would work if you want to attract casual listeners nga @SB19Official

However, I don’t think these casual listeners would actually just buy the album.. so if the target is get as many album sales as possible, the best tactic is to engage the actual fans because they’re the ones who will buy the album

Maybe additional promotions can be done after the release of the album after checking if there’s an uptick in the number of new listeners.. to encourage them to also buy the album
