I like how this questioning is persistent in their minds and the way the lines are related
Was there another way? Has everything been decided?
Was there another way? Has everything been decided?
People reduce Eren to a one-dimensional character, who just wants to kill everyone, and is blinded by the ideas of freedom, doesn't care about anything else
Is that a good story?
Is this the story being told?
Is that a good story?
Is this the story being told?
The story I read questions people's choices, whether they are able to get out of the forest, whether they are able to break years of indoctrination to see each other as humans
I do not believe that the author has led us here to solve the complex conflicts of a cycle of oppression of 2000 years with such an artificial Manichaeism, where Eren is the supreme villain and human nature is inherently violent, aggressive. Kill or be killed
Not with the level of complexity we've had so far.
Not after seeing the redemption of Gabi, Magath, of seeing enemies being able to sit, fight, talk and fight together, for a common goal
Not after seeing the redemption of Gabi, Magath, of seeing enemies being able to sit, fight, talk and fight together, for a common goal
the recurrence of these issues exists to make us doubt this determinism
doubt that there was no other way
doubt that Eren would take this path regardless of the circumstances
doubt that there was no other way
doubt that Eren would take this path regardless of the circumstances
