Setting boundaries for yourself is not selfish; it’s one of the best things you can do for self care.

Communicating these boundaries can be scary BUT if your relationships are built on the feeling of obligation and “owing” someone your time/energy, it might need reassessing.
You can apply this to romantic relationships, sexual relationships, friends you hang out with daily or friends you only speak to online.

Set boundaries and talk about them. If you know your boundaries and the other person respects them, it’ll set y’all up for a beautiful thing.
You don’t have to coddle someone, but be willing to communicate and explain if needed why these boundaries are now set in place if they weren’t before.
