Hey LIS professors! As you plan classes, please remember that trans people exist. Your students will interact with us as patrons and coworkers, not to mention classmates and students. Please make gender inclusion part of your course content. (Resources below.)
The Zotero collection Trans Inclusion for Libraries has everything I've found on the topic; it's also open so others can add content. There are various articles, webinars, and other materials on all different aspects of library work. https://www.zotero.org/groups/2412905/trans_inclusion_for_libraries/library
If you're looking for an expert to talk to your class, here are a few names. There are plenty of others who do this work as well. (Pay us for this work if you can, please; we put a great deal of time and effort into educating ourselves.) https://bit.ly/trans-lis-presenters
Trans inclusion is relevant to literally every type of LIS work. If you can't think of a connection, feel free to reply and I (or someone else) will help you. This urgently needs to be part of standard coursework, so please do what you can to make it so.
And as has been pointed out in comments, trans folks are also your students. Do the work to create a trans-inclusive classroom (virtual or not). If you haven't taken steps to do this, you don't have one.

(Book plug: chapter 9 is specifically for y'all.)
