The #FCC’s an independent agency, not part of the Administration (unlike NTIA). That’s why the White House had to “take a detour” and ask NTIA to file this petition. The FCC is not legally required to respond to the NTIA’s petition, nor should it.

There’s no way for the FCC, the FTC, or any court to decide what constitutes ‘good faith’ content moderation, because it would require the government to examine the content of Internet speech, which the First Amendment clearly forbids
Regulators can't police whether social media networks are "fair and balanced" any more than they could police Fox News or any other traditional media outlet
