I’ve been challenging myself to do a thing every day where I come up with a best-case scenario for what’s happening in Portland. Something like: Wheeler gives Hardesty control of the PPB and most of the cops resign,
legal injunctions up the cost of the federal occupation to the point that it's easier to do something else (this will be a bad scenario for people in a different part of the country though),
the budget for DHS gets slashed and used to fund USPS, and everyone gets a monthly stimulus check to stay home so we stop spreading COVID
Sometimes this gives me ideas for what to do, sometimes not, but it’s at least a short break from the stress of the doom spiral thoughts
