HOW IT WORKS: rioters vandalize fence in Portland

Federal agents respond to crowds for under 60 secs

Deploy enough tear gas & pepper bullets to get crowds to disperse

They go back inside rather quickly

Then crowds draw them back out with escalated attacks

It never ends

This is the next time they came out

Rioters threw a Molotov cocktail at them

Hence the escalation until they get them to go on an offensive

Then after violence & attacks escalate beyond their ability control them from behind the fence

Agents (with absolutely no help from local police)

Go out in to the streets and push the violent mob back

During this time rioters interfere with police activities

Accost agents and often throw tear gas canisters back at them

When rioters get too close or try to stop an arrest they also get arrested

Due to their obstinate resistance, officers apply increased force to detain them

And then the next day this is all you see on the headlines
