I absolutely love Brady & have nothing against him being the Sens nominee for the King Clancy. But at this point in their careers, I think this would have been a good opportunity for the team (appears each team nominates the player themselves) to acknowledge Boro's contributions
He's been supporting Soldier On the past couple seasons (you can find plenty more videos) https://twitter.com/SoldierOnCAN/status/1224451798309601282
He stepped up to take Turris' place as the Honorary Captain to the Condors https://twitter.com/sensfoundation/status/1228660010726707200
He's been one of the team's reps when it comes to the LGBT2Q+ community. And if you follow his Instagram, he's one of the few NHL players to really take a progressive social stance on social issues. https://twitter.com/msconduct/status/1094656549627277313
Regardless of the nomination, what will stick with Boro is all the people's lives he's affected, and I'm sure that's enough for him. It's certainly been a pleasure as Sens fans having him represent the team off the ice in ways we couldn't even imagine.
