There’s no reason to release TENET this year. Stop with the rescheduling. Choose a date in summer 2021 and leave it be. Do it with EVERYTHING. All concerts, TV shows, MCU movies, sports, Disneyland, conventions, all of it. Take everything off the calendar until Summer 2021.
Saying everything will be fine in August or September is a joke. It’s telling people that covid will be done in a month. It won’t be. Tell the people the truth: everything is fucked for a year.
I have no idea what TENET is really about but there’s ZERO chance it’s a film that will solve anything going on in the world at present. Baseball won’t solve our problems. Disneyland won’t solve our problems. Seeing Garth Brooks on a drive in movie screen won’t solve our problems
I want things “back to normal” too, but, wearing a hazmat suit to buy a Mickey Mouse plush isn’t normal. Watching a sports game in an empty stadium isn’t normal. Dying of a disease because you needed to eat at a chain restaurant isn’t normal.
The world is a nightmare and the longer Studios, the MLB, governments and state leaders refuse to acknowledge that and pretend everything will be magically better in August, so we can go see a movie, is gaslighting on such an unbelievable scale.
I don’t know if I saw a single person wearing a mask on any of the insta stories I saw this weekend. “Family bike ride” no masks. “Family hike” no masks. “Pool time in Airbnb” no masks. “Brunch with friends” no masks. “Fun at the zoo” no masks. Yeah, I’m talking about you.
When you post a photo doing anything outside without a mask you’re telling everyone A) you don’t believe in masks / science B) it’s okay to not wear one C) everything is normal and D) you encourage your friends to do the same.
Normalize wearing masks. Take a family photo riding bikes IN MASKS. Take a cute selfie on the hiking trail IN MASKS. Encourage your friends, families and followers to WEAR MASKS AT ALL TIMES. Doing otherwise is gaslighting to those of us who wear masks and believe science.
I’m tired. I’m tired of walking down the street in a mask and passing thirty people not in masks. I’m tired of standing in line at Ralph’s to buy milk, in a mask & gloves, while everyone around me has a mask on their chin or below their nose. I’m tired of the bullshit.
“They closed the street and everyone’s sitting outside the restaurants, drinking and eating and it’s so nice, it feels normal” no you idiot, it’s not nice and it’s not normal. Your waiter wears a face shield and goggles and a mask and gloves. Enjoy your bud light.
I’m tired of wondering which of my friends is going to die. Because they wanted a beer. Because they took a smiling family photos outside without masks. Because they celebrated their birthday at a pool party. Because they went to brunch.
The world is a nightmare, it won’t be fixed in August, it won’t be fixed by the Dodgers or Mickey Mouse, and spoiler alert, it won’t magically be fixed by the election. Accept it. Do your part and wear a mask. Normalize masks & stop wishing for normal. Normal is gone.
The movies are gone. Disneyland is gone. Sports are gone. Concerts are gone. Brunch is gone.

If you want to be gone, then by all means, ride that bike around Santa Monica without a mask. Enjoy that zoo without a mask. Sip that coors surrounded by 100 people not in masks.
I drafted this whole thing because I felt like such a grump, then opened insta to see more posts and stories of people not in masks. If you’re outside and not wearing a mask, I just assume you want to spread death to as many people as you can and then die horribly yourself.
