GK: Henderson: It was between him and Pope, (and you could honestly take either one) but ultimately I went with the one that led Sheffield United to a top 10 finish in their first year back in the top flight.
LB: Robertson. Not just a great defender but a great attacker with elite crossing. Fits in Klopp's system really well and also one of the easiest choice to make in this lineup.
CB: Laporte. Laporte is one of the most valuable players in the PL as City definitely struggled without him and therefore lost their chance at repeating. A healthy Laporte is definitely a top 5 CB in the world and he is the key to that City defense.
CB: Van Dijk. After finishing 2nd in a close race for the Ballon D'Or last year, Van Dijk has shown that he remains a great CB. Despite people saying he has fallen off, it was going to be hard to replicate that 2018/19 season. The anchor of Liverpool's defense.
RB: Alexander-Arnold. He needs no introduction as he has settled into one of the best RB in the world at his age. The speedy Englishman is only 21 and will only get better. Him and Robertson form the best fullback duo in the world.
AM: Grealish. Arguably the most valuable player from outside the Big 6, Villa lives and dies with him. Grealish never gave up despite AVFC almost having no chance to survive just weeks ago and his goal yesterday proved to be the one that kept them in the PL for another year.
DM: Ndidi. Ndidi played a key role in the Leicester midfield and it was shown how important he was when they struggled without him. The glue of the Leicester midfield and will be important towards them contending for a top 5 spot next season.
CM: De Bruyne. I'm not a big fan of essays, but I could realistically write one on how brilliant this guy is. A top 3 player in the world and the front runner for POTY, KDB is must see TV. Players like De Bruyne don't come along very often so enjoy him while you can.
LW: Sterling. Yes I'll be called biased. No I don't care. Post lockdown Sterling is a top 5 player and has shutdown his critics that called him overrated. Obviously stats aren't everything but they do show that he's been the better LW this season. Fair shout to Mane though.
ST: Vardy. After going on an insane run between October and December, he kind of cooled off but bounced back to win the Golden Boot. 28 G+A at age 33, he isn't showing any signs of slowing down. Danny Ings was a good storyline as well as he put up 22 goals for Southampton.
RW: Salah. Whoever calls him a one year wonder in 2020 is deluded at this point as Salah has 29 G+A this season. Continues to show he is class and is on his way to becoming a Liverpool legend if he keeps this level of play.
