Efforts to “diversify” syllabuses are less interesting than those to interrogate the fundamental intellectual limitations of fields whose canons have remained nearly exclusively White for generations

This isn’t a matter of adding a couple of diversity unicorns who embody as many marginalized identities as possible to the reading list, but of whether your disciplinary project should continue to exist as such

What questions has/n’t your discipline been asking, why, & with what implications? What theories & methods are you ignorant of? What subfields/side fields could/should be relocated to the center of your discipline? What disciplines could/should be reconstituted altogether & how?
