At some point in our lives we all experience stress

Here are some common triggers of Stress

▪️Emotions problems -depression, anxiety, anger, grief, guilt, low self-esteem
▪️ A Traumatic event
▪️Conflict
▪️Relationship Issues
▪️Work
▪️ Having a busy schedule
▪️Financial Hardship

Let's talk about how to cope with Stress

How To Cope- Part 1

🔹 Establish a healthy balance between work/home
🔹 Take care of yourself (Eat healthy, well-balanced meals)
🔹 Talk to a friend/family member that offers support,
without judgement
🔹 Limit Alchohol/ Caffeine/ Stimulants
🔹 Take a break & re-charge

How To Cope- Part 2

🔹 Schedule in time for exercise/ movement daily
🔹 Create & Reinforce boundaries
🔹 Schedule in time for hobbies
🔹 Practice yoga/ meditation/ stress reduction
🔹 Sleep 7-9 hrs (dark room, cool temp, limit caffeine/sugar minimum 2-3 hrs before bed)

🔹 Recognize when you need professional help & seek therapy

** A sign that it would be beneficial to seek counseling is if you feel you are unable to make changes and improve your feelings of stress on your own...
