2 tips for Sales Engineers / people presenting on a remote meeting:
1) As everyone is on mute and there is probably a crowd, take a stop, after important sections and say, "Ok, I've been talking. I'm going to take a few seconds for questions if there are any." ...cont
...then, if there are none, proceed with, "Ok, if something pops up, either interrupt me or we can circle back when I take another break here in a few."
2) Avoid, if possible, the "Yeah, I don't know if you have any X" or "I don't know if you do Y." Rather, ...cont
...consider, "Perhaps you have X, this may have implications. So before I continue, do you?" or, "Maybe you do Y. There is definitely relevance here if you do. May I ask if, in fact, you do? If not, I'll move on."
The goal here, if not already obvious, is to avoid what we call in the industry, the "show up and throw up." And if you hadn't already heard it called that yet, well, you're welcome.
