Hi. This is a thread on Kitchen tools I believe are worth having. As always, feel free to add to the mix. I don't have much creative content or booty so hoping to provide something helpful to the TL.
Heat resistant rubber spatulas are great for a variety of cooking
Food processor opens up so many options for sauces, dips, breadcrumbs and more
I highly suggest this set of measuring spoons because the different shapes let you work with lots of different containers
Airtight storage containers are a must! It's worth the investment for flours, pastas, rice and anything you may snack on
Slow cooker and a rice cooker. Just a must
Cutting boards with grips on the corners. Keeps from sliding and makes life easier
Splash guard for frying pops and such. Unless your arms have no feeling left like mine I suggest this
Have various sizes of colanders. You'll be surprised how versatile they can be. Not just draining pasta, but for making life easier for washing veg and fruits.
A fish spatula is one of the best investments you can make. It's delicate on your food and gets up and under foods that cheaper spatulas cannot.
This is the storage container set you should have. Great for meal prep, fridge storage and more. It also doesn't hold that smell that plastic containers pick up. Spend the $$ and invest in pyrex.
The Burr Mixer AKA the Magic Stick is such a great alternative to having to use blenders. When it comes to hot liquid and soups, this is such a time saver
If you're not comfortable with a stone, pick one of these up. It's always worth the time to keep your blades sharp.
Have two sets of tongs, Metal and Platic. They both have their uses when needed.
On God, the Scan Pan is the best non-stick pan I have ever had in my life. It's up there in price but good lord I just know it's a long term investment. Esp for someone who makes as many eggs as I do
Thermometers are a food safety must-have. Either for checking correct meat temps, or ensuring you're in the right zone for hot oil, it's worth having.
I suggest having two styles of peeler mainly because of the variety of produce you will be using. One peeler is much easier to use for say carrots and zucchini, while the other may be far better for squash and potatoes
Just get a good blender...seriously. Don't keep burning through the cheap ones. These last for years!
A good variety of mixing bowls will make your life easier
