i don’t know if it’s depression, but i have next to no motivation for work shit.

i just don’t want to do any of it.
part of what’s getting to me today is being inside 100 days to the election.

i can’t tell you how anxious i am about what the next 99 days have in store and what they then precede.

and that’s only partially considering how much literal work it all likely means for many of us.
i’m thinking about the ways every year since trump‘s candidacy has been exponentially wilder/worse.

in six months of this year** kobe, giana+7 died in a helicopter crash, an impeachment trial a u.s. pres where the wh obstructed congress at every opportunity (& got away with it).
**and i mean “six months,” not “the first half of the year.”

kobe died 1/26, it’s 7/27.
we hit record highs AND lows in the stock market AND unemployment — some swings a month apart.
and that was after we slipped into a GLOBAL PANFUCKINGDEMIC — that is so partisan bc people are so loyal to a dummybitch with an ego so big that he literally convinced people not want to wear masks just so he didn’t have to so, (the most basic common sense) science be damned.
our literal president is arguing with, silencing, and contradicting our federal agencies full of experts, scientists and doctors, and many people take his word over their own common sense.

our officials have to figure out how to get critical messages to us, bc he’s in their way
our real live president stood in the white house, in a daily update, and told people to... ya know... maybe inject themselves with bleach or disinfectant to kill covid-19.

that was a couple of months after he called it a hoax. but then declared a national state of emergency.
and people are literally dying. all day every day. we’re probably in only wave 1.5 of coronavirus destroying families in every state in the union.

so let’s throw in an election.

where the fraudulent president who votes by mail says votes by mail are fraudulent.
voters will invariably (and quite reasonably) be concerned about going to vote on election day because of wherever we are in coronavirustimes.

you’d almost think someorangebody really wants the numbers high so people won’t come out.

and they are high. asf.
and now there are unmarked, unauthorized-by-local-govt federal law enforcement** in the streets grabbing up protestors.

**: one could only hope this doesn’t foreshadow what (post-)election turmoil could look like. but... then again we’ve learned anything is possible.
