Our entire culture is insulin resistant. In men it manifests as NAFLD, in women PCOS, in both as diabetes. Probably linked to many more diseases. Insulin resistance runs deep. The medicine is not pharmacological, but treating the insalubrious diets that we believe are “normal”
There is a culture especially toxic around PCOS where girls are encouraged to just accept it, and take their drugs as “medicine”. But what is the use of a pill that doesn’t resolve underlying issues?
