Weekly update on COVID-19 in Alabama, according to the state department of public health.

- 79,129 confirmed cases (+11,418 new cases in a week; 1,525 fewer new coronavirus cases were confirmed last week than the week before).
AL COVID-19 Updated Cont'd:
- 1,446 deaths (+189 new deaths in a week, this is an increase compared to last week's +161 new deaths).
- 655,973 total tested. This is an increase of 63,365 new tests from last week, but 10,416 fewer tests last week in comparison to the week before)
AL COVID-19 Updated Cont'd:
- 5,067 cases are healthcare workers (+345 new cases in a week; a decrease from last week's +368 new cases).
- Jefferson, Mobile and Montgomery counties continue to have the highest number of confirmed cases.
AL COVID-19 Update Cont'd:
- All of Alabama's 67 counties have a "high infection rate." This rate is per 100,000 people in the last 14 days.

- 77.7% of deaths are older than 65 (NEW: slight decrease for the first time in a month)
- 50.8% of deaths are male (NEW: slight decrease compared to last week)
- 49.2% of deaths are female (NEW: slight increase compared to last week)

- 51.9% of deaths are white (slight increase for the fifth week in a row)
- 42.% of deaths are black (slight decrease for the fifth week in a row)
