A thread on my personal thoughts and opinions on #saintsFC players this season, Feel free to debate down below
#1 - Alex McCarthy. In and out of the squad at the start of the season but wow has he been brilliant since becoming the regulars number 1, with the odd mistake he’s been top quality for us. 8/10 #SaintsFC
#4 - Jannik Vestergaard. Not played all that much but when he has it’s been average to say the least. Very good vs Watford and almost scored goal of the season. A 4/10 for me #saintsFC
#5 - Jack Stephens. There were times this season were I dreaded seeing him on the pitch but now it’s the complete opposite. This man has been a revolution. His long balls are crucial and ings benefits off them so much. deserves an England call up. 8.5/10 #saintsFC
#7 - Shane Long. Lots of praise for man. Doesn’t score a lot but my word he doesn’t stop running. Creates so many chances for others and is a damn good worker. Deserved new contract. 7/10 #SaintsFC
#9 - Danny Ings. Unplayable. Simply unplayable. I’m so grateful to have witness him play for us this season. Unbelievably clinical. Not just his goals but his work rate is fantastic as well. Unlucky to not get the golden boot. KING OF THE SCUMMERS
11/10 #SaintsFC

#10 - Che Adams. I have said all seaon he will come good. His hold up play and awareness is the best in the squad. Only 24 years and age and in the last few weeks we have seen what he is capable of. Believe in Che. Would be higher if he had a couple more goals. 6/10 #saintsFC
#12 - Moussa Djenepo. Brilliant at the start. Very unfortunate with injuries and I think he’s one of the top dribblers in the league, Can drift past players will ease. Only 22 years of age as well. 6/10
#14 - Oriol Romeu. Loves a yellow card. Would give anything for the badge. Very impressed at the start of the seaon and since PEH has been dropped he’s been a top player. Even got some nice footwork in his locker. 7/10 #saintsFC
#16 - James Ward-Prowse. Set piece specialist. His defensive ability has improved so much and his passing ability is definitely one of the best in the league. Proper shit house at times and we’re all for it. My captain. 9/10 #SaintsFC
#17 - Stuart Armstrong. Ohhh his hair is fine. For me his has been our most underrated player this season. Creates chances with ease and has a cracking shot on him. Wasn’t getting enough game time at the start but he’s been crucial recently. 7.5/10 #saintsFC
#19 - Sofiane Boufal. Needs to stop dribbling round his house. Too dribbler, not consistent enough. Another player unlucky with injuries. He has shown his quality at times he just needs to get his head down and become more consistent. 5.5/10
#20 - Micheal Obafemi. First full season from the young man and I have loved seeing him play. He has a class about him when he played and bagged some great goals away at Chelsea and a 96th equaliser at Old Trafford. Solid season 7/10
#21 - Ryan Bertrand. He looked average at best at the start but that quickly changed after “that” game and he’s been solid ever since, an ever present in the side and it’s clear to see why. 7/10
#22 - Nathan Redmond. I don’t have enough characters to say about Redmond but I adore watching him play every week. He’s had a few poor performances but that’s gonna happen. He’s been so sharp and quick on the ball. Been key for ings getting as many goals as he has 8.5/10
#23 - Pierre-Emile Højbjerg. Love hate relationship with him. He has the potential to be a top quality midfielder and has shown that this season. Great player and I just wish he hadn’t of ended how it had. 6.5/10
#27 - Will Smallbone. 9 appearances, 2 assist. A good return for a young man making his way in the game. Seems likes he has been playing in the prem for ages but it’s only been a few months. So confident and calm on the ball. 6.5/10
#28 - Angus Gunn. Not much to say about Gunn. Looked decent at times when he has played in the cup and should go out on loan to regain confidence. 3/10
#29 - Jake vokins. Only one game in the prem and played really well vs Brighton. Scored a wonder goal in the cup vs Huddersfield. I really think he will be amazing in the future. For the game time Its hard to give him a fair rating. 5/10
#35 - Jan Bednarek. So solid for us and always starts and plays incredibly well week in week out. Love the partnership between him and jack. Brilliant in the Air. 9/10
#38 - Kevin Danso. Not really sure what happened with him. Didn’t play much in the end and didn’t look up to par with the rest of the squad. He did assist vestergaard which overall is bizzare to me. Also picked up a red card vs man United. 3/10
#43 - Yan Valery. Way better going forward than he is defensively and seems liable at the back. He went missing for about 4 month and I’m still it sure why. Been left on the bench due to KWP impressive displays. 5/10
