"Community" is so hard to define. It's a sense of shared identity or commitment to practice.

Community building is a skill that most often tech hasn’t wanted to pay for.

It's not respected in the tech industry the way eng is, despite the fact humans are more complex than code
By now, we should have Chief Community Officers in place, co-creating better, pushing back on some of the scale and speed that, we've seen, has led to large and trustless communities that don't give us connection at all.

These people need career paths and fat checks.
Lockdown has shown how much we need people; those we hold close, or new friends with a shared love.

Those groups need better tools & places to connect; it's not impossible to make $$.

But, without thought & care, community is broadcast. Let's not make the same mistake again
