Going back to manually graph/track monthly #DMsGuild earnings for 2020/2019/2018 certainly is A Thing
There was definitely an extended period of time where my earnings were "Oh boy I can negate my stock art spending this month"

1. June always sucks
2. Can we have a Play it Forward sale every year, dad
3. Yay January 2019 but for the purposes of a line graph, fuck January 2019

Now here's my #DnD DrivethruRPG earnings, in purple. Don't see it? I'll zoom in a bit.
1900+ twitter followers and 3+ years on a single site, and it's definitely still like starting from scratch on even an adjacent marketplace.
(Ha ha I'm not a little scared, YOU'RE a little scared)

I really, really hate doing the "AYYYY SIGN UP FOR MY MAILING LISSSTTTTTTT" stuff, even if I don't think I'm terrible at it. But that kind of business-side audience cultivation is something I'm really trying to work on in the face of splitting into a new #DnD market.
When individual #DMsGuild creators are asked "Why don't you just bail on the Guild and go into a new market?" This is my answer so far--because it's really, really scary to go from /THAT/ kind of chart to this.
I'm going to keep going on Drivethru, Itch, AND the Guild. But even splitting time into the various sites (OGL versus the IP sandbox) is going to be a balancing act.
The Guild is a pretty captive #DnD audience from a creator perspective. You're getting nothing but "I want to buy D&D" traffic. Other sites are a whole 'nother animal.
If you like the work Guild creators do with D&D:
1. Check out our non-Guild stuff. I promise, we weren't clubbed over the head when writing non-Guild content.
2. Sign up for creator newsletters/email lists/etc if you like their work. Heck, even check 'follow' on Drivethru.

3. Be patient and supportive in any way you can with people who are trying to dip a toe outside the Guild. New territory for most of us.
4. Support/share Kickstarters and other cool stuff we do, even if it's not your personal cup of tea.
