Disability Twitter. . .can I get some guidance on something please? So I'm reaching out to voters/supporters right now and when I talk about volunteer opportunities, sometimes folks tell me things along the lines of: "I can't, I'm disabled" or "I'd love to but I'm disabled."
The LAST thing I want to do is say something insensitive or coming off as dismissive. Most of the volunteer positions are phone/text banking or social media strike teams etc.
I'm not sure if folks are telling me this to get me off their backs (understandable!)

OR if they think that I'm asking for door knocking etc. Or if they have a type of disability that they can't volunteer for anything. I'm not going to ask them for specifics because it's none of my business. I don't want to pressure folks that just don't want to. . .
My biggest concern is disabled folks that *WANT* to be involved but for some reason believe they can't. I want to reach out to them and tell them that they ABSOLUTELY can and we'd love to have them on the team! How should I move the convo forward without being problematic? Thanks!
