Now UG is calm like someone that got a shot of "Lidocaine"...Babe you're just having a DELAYED/MISSED PERIOD and there are many causes outside pregnancy...

What Are The Causes?
First of all..."Introduction"...
There are two times in a woman's life when its normal to have irregular/delayed/missed periods.

They are:
• MENARCHE: When menstruation starts and the body hormones are trying to adjust.

• MENOPAUSE: When menstruation stops and the body hormones are trying to readjust.
Most women have a 28day cycle. However a healthy cycle can range from 21days to 35days.

So relax but if you're doesn't fall within these ranges, it could be due to the following...

1. STRESS
- Be it physical or emotional stress. Stress has the ability to affect the part of the
brain responsible for regulating your period. It affects the hormones responsible for menstruation and can delay it.

- If you've been getting stressed out lately and have been having irregular menstruation. Watch it. Pick out time to relax
2. BODY WEIGHT
- Both low and high body weight (Obesity) can affect the menstrual cycle. They cause hormonal changes that affect the menstrual cycle.

- Moderation remains key, see your doctor, see your dietician that will recommend diet plan and exercise e're or you.
3. DIABETES
- Diabetes also known as "High Blood Sugar" has been linked with delayed menses especially when the sugar is not controlled well.

- Please if you've been diagnosed with diabetes, please take your anti-diabetic drugs. It's for your own good.
4. THYROID DISEASES

- Thyroid diseases is when the thyroid gland is overactive producing excess thyoid hormone or underactive producing small thyroid hormone.

- The thyroid hormone has an effect on the the hormones responsible for menstruation. It can be treated, see a doctor.
5. EARLY PERIMENOPAUSE

- Most women begin menopause from ages 45-50. Women who start having symptoms of menopause around age 40 or earlier is considered to have an "Early Perimenopause"

- It means egg production is reducing and this will cause irregular menses to no menses
6. BIRTH CONTROL

- One of the major side effects of "Birth Control" be it pills or IUDs is irregular menstruation.

- Birth control pills contain hormones such as estrogen and progestin which prevent the ovaries from releasing eggs and this causes delayed/missed periods.
7. POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME (PCOS)

- It's a condition the woman body to produce more of the male hormone androgen.

- "Cysts" will form on top of the ovaries as a result of this hormonal imbalance causing irregular or no menstruation at all.

There Is Treatment For PCOS.
Finally, it's important to note that all vaginal bleeding after a delayed period may not be your monthly period.

If it is...
• Unusally heavy bleeding
• Fever
• Severe pain
• Bleeding lasting more than 7days...
