I see that #MeghanAndHarry is trending. Again. This time it’s about a biography that has been written about them. It’s also brought up a lot of the hatred felt for Meghan. Again. So I have a few things to say about Meghan and Harry.
Firstly, when you say things like she’s stolen poor Harry from his family, you do him a disservice. You’re making the assumption that Harry is too stupid to make his own decisions. This is a man who never wanted to be part of the limelight. He did it because he had to.
This is a man who, as a boy, watched the press hound his mother constantly for stories. They literally chased her to her death. Remember him walking behind her coffin in front of thousands of people? He was 12.
We all watched him grow up. We watched him make mistakes like everyone else. He turned into an incredible young man with a big heart. He finally found a woman he loved and wanted to marry. And what did the press do?
They started being horrible about her. She was all wrong for the royal family, apparently. A divorced American actress who had the audacity to not even be white!
Harry watched what happened to his mother, and there is no way he would have let history repeat itself on his wife. He loves her. She loves him. He didn’t choose you, so stop being bitter over it.
Fuck the racists. Fuck the xenophobes. Fuck the bitter spinsters. Fuck the press. Fuck her money-grubbing family.
And fuck the British public who think that because he was born royal, it means he’s public property. Harry always will be his own man, and now he has his own family to think about. #MeghanAndHarry
