the show has doen a lot to touch on subjects about Anti-Ziganism, like the scene where Mosley calls Arthur & Tommy “Pikeys”, i know a lot of people watching it will not understand how harmful that slur is and maybe after watching it will now understand
Peaky also gave us Esme Shelby, a strong female Romani character which has done a lot to help disperse the myth of romani women being submissive or weak

and if you’re not roma you don’t get an opinion, any real roma is far more concerned about the alarming rise in hate crimes, racial profiling by police, roma communties being chased out of countries all over eastern europe, and our history within the holocaust being erased
