Trilogy by the Weeknd : A really very big thread
The day is slow so I'm gonna write about one of my favourite albums ever to exist. I'm gonna rank every single song (30-21 listed, the rest individually) plus some summarizing thoughts.

27. The Birds Pt. 2
26. Thursday
25. Heaven or Las Vegas
24. Loft Music
23. Valerie

I don't hate any of these of course, I just think the remaining 20 are the best tracks here.

20. Till Dawn (Here Comes The Sun)
Not my favourite of the bonus tracks but I feel like it's a precursor to the sound explored on Starboy, would fit quite snugly among those.

19. Same Old Song
One of my favourite lyrical topics on the whole thing, one of the best hooks too.

18. The Zone
Love Drake's feature on this thing and despite being a bit too long like Gone from the same mixtape this is a lot more enjoyable to listen to.

17. D.D.
Brilliant cover and a great intro to the third disc.

16. Lonely Star
All three intro tracks are really pumping and get me excited for what's ahead, it's necessary when listening to something as long as this.

15. Rolling Stone
Very calming ballad (not sure if that's the right word) and a standout in the second disc (where most of the weak moments are concentrated imo).

14. The Party & The After Party
Seven minutes swing by like two. Absolutely love the extended outro with the guitar and Abel's gleaming voice.

13. Life Of The Party
Love the hellish guitar riff here and it's probably the track I've done the most amount of embarassing dances to.

12. Initiation
The lyrics on this are kinda unsettling but there's a lot to love about Abel's rapping and it's contribution towards the super dark third disc.

11. House Of Balloons/Glass Table Girls
Not the very best two parter here but nonetheless very dancey with a killer beat switch.

10. Wicked Games
Legendary track, one of his very best. I love the lyrics about cheating and apparently post-nut clarity, according to Genius.

9. Montreal
Love the very pounding drums on this thing, and it's just a great track, not a lot else I wanna say about it.

8. Outside
Very sinister track with one of my favourite vocal performances, that it segues into XO/The Host makes me love it even more.

7. High For This
Brilliant introduction, with a hard-hitting instrumental and chorus. Every time I hear it it gets me excited for the next 150 minutes.

6. What You Need
It's more conventional than something like Initiation but it's still a very seductive and appealing track.

5. Next
Really saddening track from disc three, with drums reminding me of Too Late from this latest album.

4. Twenty Eight
The bonus track adds so much to the compilation as a whole, with one of his most pained vocal performances and catchy hooks.

3. The Knowing
MAN. This song always makes me tear up a little, there's just such an overpowering sadness to it. In my opinion it's Abel's best performance ever.

2. XO/The Host
Incredibly sinister and manipulative two parter that's a mainstay in my top 5 Weeknd songs, there's just such a darkness to his lyrics here that's only matched by Initiation, also on the same disc.

1. The Morning
One of my favourite songs ever ever ever. It's just so catchy with it's synths and guitar and Abel's dreamy voice on top. It's just a very relaxing track, and it's one of those songs I play every single day.

There's no way to describe the kind of transportative feeling these 30 tracks give me. It's 150 minutes are dark, captivating and very well-produced. It's by far Abel's best work (although I do love a lot of what he's done since).
There's a commitment to dramatism that doesn't at all take away from the music. Instead, it's a world-building achievement on the same level as Good Kid M.A.A.D. City, or Blackstar or any other great concept album made this decade.
