Here are some new resources on the experience of philanthropy ( @atlantic) working in partnership with government ( @niexecutive) to transform services for children, families & people affected by dementia, & to mainstream shared education.
The £62million collaboration between @atlantic & @niexecutive was ambitious & distinctive.

It aimed to deliver better public services & embed wider change, via a novel partnership between philanthropy & government.

#SharedEducation is building peace in NI by allowing pupils & teachers from different communities to learn & work together.

Participants have more contact with pupils from the 'other' community.

Teachers have more professional satisfaction & cross-community friendships.
Collaboration through shared education is positive for teachers’ professional development & learning.

It provides enhanced opportunities and outcomes for pupils, improved pupil learning and broadened curriculum choice.
The #SharedEducation model is being adopted in other divided societies, often with support from practitioners & researchers in Northern Ireland.
