I have been in living in Cape Town for 6 years now and there’s just something that bothers me about the way Coloured people hate being called black it’s as if they are being degraded or they are less human.
There’s this warped sense of reasoning amongst some coloured people in Cape Town or should I say a white Messiah mentality where they think everything white is good and nothing can come from black people.
At any given opportunity to snake you in the work place they will take it and at any opportunity to call you a monkey they will do it.
See here’s what confuses me the most. They are the most effected by segregation and gang violence but they would still run to the white man for assistance and turn on black people at every opportunity they get.
They hate the way they live but vote DA at every election. The story of how guns and drugs got into coloured communities isn’t even a secret. Some White people started kidnapping children and got them addicted to tick then released them back into communities.
At a later stage a certain police officer who was of course white sold guns and weapons to individuals instead of destroying them like he was tasked to which created a concentrated amount of violence in certain areas.
So let means something clear, coloured people were removed from District 6. Their communities were flooded with guns and drugs to keep them from progressing but they still seek help from the very people who put them in that situation.
They believe being called black is marginalizing them or making them let’s say less of a human but whenever it’s time to protest they look towards black people to join them.
The Cape Town metropolitan has been DA led for over 8 years but today the coloured communities are protesting against the ANC for service delivery. I don’t know hey I think it must be the lack of tobacco.
Also if you reading this and you coloured and you feel offended I need you to know that we do recognize being coloured has its own culture but also you need to know being black also has a lot of various cultures especially in South Africa stop being ignorant.
Anyway your other counterparts who are beneficiaries of BBBEE are looking and laughing at you. I’m sorry I’m the one who had to say it. ☹️
