🤯Ten wild, wierd and awesome stats from this year’s FPL season (thread):

The season doesn’t always go the way we planned, and sometimes it does.

⬇️
Pope (170) outscored Son (169) and Richarlison (165).

Crazy to think that the English keeper accumulated more points than these point friendly midfielders.

Worth noting that nine keepers scored more than 130 points.
Midfielders still rule

For all players to score more than 200 points; five were midfielders, two were strikers and one was a defender.

All of these players were premium assets (Martial the only one who could be considered ‘cheap’).
KDB’s season was up there with one of the most impressive.

His longest run without a return was two games. He did this four times.

He managed an attacking return in 22/38 games and finished as the top point scorer.

He also missed three games. Madness!
Injury prone Danny Ings played 31 PL matches this year (6 as a sub) and accumulated 21 goals from 36 shots on target.

He was the epitome of efficiency this year while achieving 198 points in FPL.

The next highest Saints player got 117 points (JWP). Talisman.
Amongst the top four defenders, three played for Liverpool and one played for Wolves. Doherty continued his excellent FPL form and amassed 167 points.

In the next five top scoring defenders, only one didn’t play for ShefU. That was Tarkowski (143).
Ederson won the golden glove this year on his way to keeping 16 clean sheets.

Remarkably, this fantastic achievement meant he only finished 10th (!) amongst goalkeepers for total FPL points.

Bonus and save points really did elude him.
The only three outfield players in the top ten for Value Per Million for FPL were Lundstram, Baldock and Egan.

We were blessed with a 4.0m defender who played in CM and scored 144 FPL points this year. It won’t happen again next year.
Top for xG over the entire season, Jesus should have scored 21 goals this year but only managed 14.

In comparison, Aubameyang should have scored 16 but overperformed with 22 goals. Danny Ings very similar, having the exact same stats as PEA.
Having only joined the league in January, Bruno Fernandes sits atop the ‘points per match’ table, comfortably.

Having recorded 8.4 PPM, if he were to continue this form into next season he will collect 319 points before you’ve even captained him.
‘Nice guy’ Son really did see his two red cards cost him this year.

The minus points and subsequent bans meant his total score was much lower than it perhaps should have been. With a PPM of 5.6, he would have pushed Ings and Jimenez to be in the top ten for most FPL points.
I would love to know some of your wierd and wonderful stats from this year.
