Some coaches from abroad, like the one Yanga got rid of today, arrive in Africa with arrogance and a sense of entitlement they never shed.

Ohhhh look at you people! You don’t know football! I am here to teach you football!
I suspect many do very little research on what they are getting themselves into, with very little appreciation of the challenges of the local game. They expect the same environment and culture they have in Europe to be replicated.
That is not to say they are wrong in some of their assessments. But they don’t have to arrive in the country to find out some of the challenges - a few phone calls and some desk-based research would save them a lot of time.
Minus the racist and disrespectful remarks, Eymael could have found out about the other stuff he’s been complaining about without having to set foot in Tanzania. I have no sympathy.
Not all foreign coaches are bad. But the good ones recognise the challenges and take people along on the journey or know what they’ve got themselves into and deal with cards they’ve been handed. Some of the challenges can’t be dealt with overnight.
