Meet The Greatest Devotees of Bhagwan Ram - THE RAMNAMI SAMAJ!!

The Ramnami Samaj is a group of people who live primarily in villages along the Mahanadi river in Chhattisgarh. They are simply a sect of Hindu believers who devoutly serve/follow Lord Rama as their GOD.
Their tattooing (राम) practice was started as they were not allowed into temples in the past. They also wear a shawl with the word "राम" printed on it and headgear made of 'Peacock' feathers. The Ramnami Samaj followers do not drink or smoke, chant the name of Lord Rama every day
Those with full-body tattoos are known as "Purnanakshik" and are mostly in their seventies. Ramnami Samaj does not perceive the gender of the person being tattooed. A man or woman may tattoo as much or as little as they like.
Ramnami Samaj is listed simply as 'Hindus' in official records and not Tribes (as per rumours). Their estimate population to be no more than 20,000 based on the attendance at the annual 'Bhajan Mela'; although others estimate it to be more than 1,00,000.
I bow those great people.

Jai Shri Ram 🙏
