Before I switch off for 48 hrs - an observation on the extent of self censorship on this issue:

Lots of people defended me but *only* people who are already out about being gender critical (i.e. also "bigots" in his view).
No one else said anything.

If I really was a bigot, being called out by a respected barrister lots of others would come in to support his view & condemn me. But no one did
On the other hand if you saw someone wrongfully smearing & abusing someone, you'd say something wouldn't you? but no one did.

So the word "bigot" here doesn't have it's normal meaning - it's more like being called a paki , yid , mental, lezzer by a school bully.
You look around and see that no one is going to defend you for fear of being called the same thing.
It just means "shut up and feel shame"

And of course the same thing happened with @CGDev - at my tribunal they compared my belief to racism and anti-semitism and it was deemed by a judge to be "not worthy of respect in a democracy" which puts it on par with facism in getting ruled out as a protected belief.
Almost no one in the combined networks of myself & CGD have said anything (even to acknowledge this happened).
People ought to be cheering CGD or defending me, or at the very least saying clever things about the issues raised.

JK Rowling speaking up enabled more people to speak up (and more to attack her).
Either one of the world's best loved authors is a horrible bigot of she is being unfairly attacked.

As she said this week there are many whistleblowers and when the scandal breaks no one who has been chearing the movement will be able to say they didn't know.
