I‘ve decided to participate in a 48hr boycott of @Twitter to protest the platform’s shameful inaction over antisemitic hate speech & abuse. I‘ve witnessed firsthand many times how this platform acts as a haven & incubator for hate & violence. This must end. #NoSafeSpaceForJewHate
To be clear, this isn’t just about Wiley, tho I also don’t agree w/ those saying he’s 1 example of many—I haven’t seen a celeb go on such a sustained, unchecked, overt, reprehensible, public anti-Jew attack on Twitter like this before, & I monitor these things. It is exceptional.
While that doesn’t make him more harmful than other raging bigots, it highlights the extent of Twitter’s enablement, not only ignoring enormous outcry from a harmed group, bt actually facilitating recruitment of others to target the group. This danger is real & needs to stop now.
