Coloured Roads In Qatar. 🇶🇦

#THREAD
How would you feel stepping on coloured roads while walking down your street??
This amazing feeling is what some Qatar residents feel everyday and colours can be more powerful than we all think.
According to science, we may be more attentive to colour as they evoke emotions ranging from feelings of warmth, happiness to the feelings of anger and hostility.
Colours are definitely making their spaces on the roads of Qatar as well.
Let's roll. 🍥 ✊
1. Red road:
Red road is located within the boundaries of Al Bidda Park and extends from Qatar National Theatre to the Emiri Diwan roundabout. The street is the first of its kind in Qatar as it is covered with red asphalt.
It can be controlled by automated roadblocks to close it during important events such as National Day and Sports Day and other world events like World Cup, especially as the park is one of the main areas to be allocated as fan zone during the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
2. Blue Road: Located at the Abdullah Bin Jassim Street near Souq Waqif. The blue road is an experimental project to reduce the temperature of the asphalt by 15 - 20 degrees Celsius.
The high temperatures are created by the absorption of heat from dark-coloured asphalt roads as they accumulate solar heat. Sensors to measure temperatures of the blue surface and uncoated asphalt are installed for a period of 18 months.
3. Purple Road:
Purple road is located at the Katara Hills. A distinctive landmark and an eye-catching tourist destination. The Katara Hills is home to a diversity of plants and trees from different continents, serving as a meeting point for cultures and civilisations.
I Hope y'all enjoyed it.
