I want to talk a little about moral responsibility.

This is NOT a simple subject and my intellect is probably unequal to this task, but... here goes.

If one is fighting for progressive change, they bear a certain burden of moral responsibility in *how* they fight.

There's a reason why we take these pains to speak *truth* to power, to admit when we are wrong, and to hold each other and ourselves accountable.

If we don't, nobody will. Our enemies are liars. Bullies. Bigots. Murderers.

We can't become what we resist.

I know it's cliché, but some things are oft-repeated because they are evident. It is costly to have a code.

It makes us vulnerable in ways they are not, but yo, they shrink in the light and we BRING the light. What choice do we have?

Shit's dangerous, so we're dangerous.

But being dangerous, whether that's with force or figure, that's a power, and power is responsibility. Anyone saying differently is trying to wield power irresponsibly. To abuse it.

Don't be dangerous to anyone who don't *need* dangerin' to.

Stay calm. Be a guardian.

I have some strong feelings about this and I fear it is making me unclear right now, but let me try to distill it...

Be careful with your actions. You can't untake them. Always ask yourself how much impact you're willing to make and who you affect.

Impact > intent.

This is absolutely not about policing protest methods.

I dont give a solitary fuck about people breaking shit or disrupting society to effect change. That's basically the only way.
That good trouble.

I'm talking about personal responsibility and human damage.

Do good; be good
Shit, y'all. I'm anxious.
