If you are making fat jokes, talking about how you’re eating “bad”, talking poorly about yourself for gaining weight, or berating other people for their bodies - guess what? You’re not inclusive and I don’t feel safe in your space.

Please just think about how your words and actions impact others. I am more prone to notice it because I live in a fat body and I have a background in body politics. But it costs nothing to protect your viewers and value them.
Someone in my chat made a “I ate something bad” comment, not out of maliciousness, but out of not knowing
I said, food doesn’t have morality and we don’t do that here to protect our babes who have dealt with eating disorders, body image issues, and systemic oppression.

How can your politics include the fat babes in your life? How can your content be more inclusive? How can you dismantle diet culture in your own life and your own circles?
Let’s do some baseline body politics facts, ready?
food doesn’t have moral value
it is legal to fire fat people in 49 states for being fat
body shape is MOSTLY based on genetics
95% of diets are proven scientifically not to work

If you are uncomfortable with this, it is because I am challenging the society that has brainwashed you to think that thinness is the standard and that fatness is an abnormality.
It is because the diet culture industry (which is a billion dollar industry) has led you to believe that you can change your body, and if you don’t, you’ve failed.
Just show up for fat babes. That’s all I’m asking. Literally do what you want with your bodies - but understand what you’re preaching when you preach it

I have been having conversations about body positivity and liberation for a LONG time.
