To those who want us to take @AbiyAhmedAli ‘s recent cheap political ploy seriously, we say no for so many reasons including: 1/n
Because Abiy waged war on Tigray the minute he blocked foreign investment in our land. Right when he failed to reopen the road blockade or when he aided & abetted it resulting in record level inflation in the region that made life unbearable for the already impoverished public2/n
When he went off on his selective prosecution raid only on Tegaru public figures. When he chose not to trial suspects involved in the June 22/2019 assassination of General Seare Mekonnen, Chief of staff of the National defense Forces of Ethiopia, & Major General Gezai Abera. 3/n
When he conspired with a disreputable foreign foe, Isaias Afwerki, to inflame already bruised tensions. When his unmeasured economic policies left 29% of our people under extreme poverty line with ever so widening economic inequality. 4/n
When he refused to repatriate our sisters & brothers languishing throughout the Middle East…when he made a mockery of their affliction by calling them ኣሸባሪ in a national parliament. 5/n https://bit.ly/3g2wohb
There’s more to security & a society’s well-being than it’s narrowㅡtraditional aspect. 6/n
The reactionary Abiy can’t just claim that he hasn’t or doesn't ever wish to compromise Tigray’s security because he hasn’t attacked Tigray militarily to date for every Tigraway/Tigraweyti’s human security has been compromised ever since he assumed power. 7/n
@AbiyAhmedAli you will not win the narrative in Tigray just because you speak the language. You’ve showed us your true colors far too many times & a flashy interview isn’t going to change what we think of you. 8/8
