First, we have to open schools. People are waiting to see what will happen with schools and our mayor says no decision will be made *until September.* No one is coming back to that plan. Why would they?! Plenty of places are opening schools. They can just go to those places.
What family is coming back to their small NYC apartment (and they are all small) to have their kids sit in front of a screen all day as "school"? Only those with no options will do that.
I think it's clear that I really love New York. It's my city. It's where my husband and I both grew up, where we met, where we decided to raise our family. But we feel like we're in the upside down right now and our elected officials don't care about any of us.
The mayor being chauffeured from the UES to his Brooklyn gym used to be a not-so-funny insight into his personality. But in a time of crisis that guy sequestered in the SUV is worse than useless. You can have a de Blasio but only when things are good. When they're bad, wow.
Our governor is somehow even worse. He is a living embodiment of someone who got high on his own supply. He's so proud of himself. Of what! 32k ppl died. He should be humble and bowed not making f'n posters with stupid jokes. We're talking about if chicken wings are food? Really?
These bars have been closed for months. They're struggling to survive. And Cuomo is fining them and enforcing impossible rules. Other biz are left to wonder if they will ever reopen. If you question him, you want ppl to die. I really do blame the media for creating this monster.
