India’s ancient education system for youth was one of the most advanced in the world. A system providing instruction in Vedas, philosophy, grammar & logic equipping it’s youth for a full, satisfying life in tune with the planet & instilling a love for humanity, animals & all life
It’s only failing was a lack of inclusivity for the lowest Varna. We must realize however this is something that would have naturally evolved if only the Indian civilization did not become a civilization interrupted by Islamic invasion & British colonialism.
When I see people wanting to hold onto birth based caste or varna, I fail to see the logic. The varna system as recognition for individual skills perhaps, but based on birth makes no sense in modern society. Uninterrupted, India & the Vedic system would have evolved beyond this.
When looking at this ancient education system we must put it in historical context. It was a highly developed system far ahead of it’s time in comparison to what the rest of the world was doing in education. A world where education for the masses was all but non existent.
When it came to higher education/university, ancient India excelled. India’s ancient universities had international recognition & included study of Vedas, Sanskrit, sciences, advanced mathematics, medicine, philosophy, surgery, astronomy, metaphysics, theology, logic & more.
Unfortunately, these incredible ancient universities & libraries were destroyed, millions of ancient texts burned, almost all by Islamic invaders, just as they destroyed the ancient Indian education system and 10’s of thousand of temples while slaughtering some 80 million Hindus
With Islamic invasion of India, the educational institutions of the Hindu & Buddhist religions were destroyed to make way for Islamic education. Here the instruction provided was the Quran, Philosophy, & Islamic history.
Some ancient Hindu & Buddhist systems of education still existed, but they were mere shadows of what they once were. So much of the ancient literature of India was lost due to the destruction of their universities, schools, libraries & temples.
Christian missionaries, seeing the weakness in Indias education system jumped to fill the gap. Just as Islam had done, they saw education as a means to spread their religion. Their aim was of course to convert the Indian population to Christianity.
Christian missionaries hold on the educational system was strengthened when the East India Trading Company offered grant licenses to Christian missionaries to open their schools in India. The Catholic Church of course played a big role but many denominations became involved.
In modern India, the goals of Islam & Christianity remain the same. They still use the educational system in their efforts to drive conversion & turn the population against Indias native Dharmic culture. Added to this are Marxists also seeking to undermine Dharmic tradition.
So the question becomes, is the Indian government going to continue to ignore what Islam & Christianity are doing now & have been doing throughout their history in India. Will the Indian government take steps to protect it's native Dharmic/Vedic culture & heritage?
