Arteta on the performance vs #WFC: "When we went 2-0 up, we thought it was going to be easy, it was a big mistake. And still we went 3-0 & you could feel that game was still open. Two different moods & I can see that when we don't have the ball. It will be different on Saturday"
Arteta on Aubameyang not winning the Golden Boot: "You could see he was really trying. You could see at some stages his teammates were trying too hard, forcing things to give him the opportunity to score another goal but his numbers are fantastic so it doesn't change much"
Mikel Arteta on team selection for the FA Cup final: "For me, its gonna start on Tuesday, we are going to start training & they have to earn their place from zero, everybody, & even more after today"
Arteta on whether Emi Martinez will start the FA Cup final: "Emi has earned his place with another brilliant performance today again when the team needed him. He made some fantastic saves, Bernd is still recovering from his injury, so Emi is the one now"
Mikel Arteta on Shkodran Mustafi’s injury: “He will miss the start of next season. He pulled the tendon of the bone in his hamstring. That’s normally a lot of weeks.”
Arteta: "We have lost Calum Chambers the week after I arrived here, we lost Pablo [Mari] for 3 months & we've lost Musti so at the back we are really short. Musti's been playing really consistently & at a really good level with me & we wish him a quick recovery"
Mikel Arteta on being short of numbers in central defence: "I already mentioned three central defenders who are not available & we haven't had them available for a long time anyway, during this season. We will have to address that"
Kieran Tierney on his celebration: “I didn’t know what to do so I just turned around! I think it was a shock! I’ll take it. It was a good ball from Auba as well so it was a good day for me personally.”
Tierney: “It’s been the toughest year of my life. I’ve had the injury & a lot of new challenges but you need challenges, you need to be uncomfortable. You need to challenge yourself to improve. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy coming to this massive club full of great players.”
Kieran Tierney: “I knew it was going to be tough coming in & trying to get my place in the team. I’m just grateful for every opportunity I get to go on the pitch & give my all. I try to repay the manager’s faith by working hard & trying to put in good performances.”
Ian Wright on Emi Martinez: "The thing that frightens me now with him is that when Bernd Leno does come back & he is fit, why would he want to continue as a No 2 when he's played to this level being a No 1. He will surely want to go and be a No 1 now"
Wright: "We have got to be very careful with him because if Bernd does come back, he's now played in a situation where he's played fantastically, he's been brilliant, & he's probably got the taste for that now, so why would you want to go back to being a No 2 & not playing?"
Wright: "What frightens me is you look at someone like Frank & you look at what Chelsea's doing, you just say to yourself: 'Do you know something? Can we prise him away?'. This is what worries me, simply because you look at what he's done & how he plays, he is better than Kepa"
