No other marginalized group has an advocacy platform created around the idea that other marginalized groups must erode their own identities, protections and gains to accommodate another group except one.
Only the trans community demands this. No one else.

Black people just want to be seen as equal. They want access to equal opportunities while living unapologetically black. Same with brown people. We don’t want to be white, we want to be who we are and be treated fairly.
Disabled people want to be treated with dignity and want fair accommodations. We don’t want the world to rebuild itself, that’s impossible but we’d like the world to see us as humans deserving of consideration. We want every chance we can get to live “normally” within reason.
Same sex attracted people just wanted to be treated the same as everyone else. We wanted the change to marry the people we love, have the same protections as heterosexuals and not worry about being fired, evicted, beaten or worse.
This last one is what most of us thought the trans community wanted too. And that’s why most people were supportive...at the start. But that’s not what they want now. Because trans rights depends on erasure of what it means to be female & what it means to be homosexual.
Trans rights depends on erasure of how oppression operates. It demands you deny science. It demands you censor talks about male violence, female oppression, homophobia, misogyny, sexism and label these as all “transphobic”.
Trans rights demands women pretend the male sex class hasn’t been oppressing us since the dawn of time. We’re supposed to hand over the small amount of spaces and gains we’ve made over to males who think oppressive gender roles equal their new womanhood.
Lesbians and gays are supposed to ignore our same sex attraction to sexually validate heterosexuals who think changing their gender changes other people’s sexuality. We’re supposed to just be ok with heterosexuals demanding space in our communities.
Only the trans community operates by demanding other marginalized communities make space for the people who oppress them, because those oppressors now “identify” as oppressed.
Only the trans community demands other communities be silent about how trans advocacy harms us. And they do it through social coercion, reliance on bigotry, status quo oppression and physical violence.
And once you look at who is benefitting most, you start to understand why.
