Here’s a thread of my Top 15 Favourite Anime Characters :)
1. Levi Ackerman
The quintessential animanga badass. Not as if that was all there is to him. Levi’s dialogue, mentality and loyalty are all very compelling features, backed up by a stern, yet respectable and likeable personality.

2. Edward Elric
A truly endearing, and loveable protagonist. Leads FMA with distinct charm and wit. Has a wonderful dynamic with Alphonse, and almost any other cast member alongside him.

3. Killua Zoldyck
HxH’s most well-written non-antagonist character - and an overall joyous individual. The masterful development of Killua’s character is quite remarkable, especially in CA and the Election arc. 10/10 design too.

4. Gon Freecss
Initially a bundle of joy, Gon’s descent into naive villainy is what makes his character all the more interesting. The prefect protagonist for an adventure series.

5. Izuku Midoriya
The best mc of the modern age of anime. Fits the thematic nature of MHA, and boosts the characters surrounding him. Deku’s polite, respectful demeanour is also really wholesome, and soothing.

6. Light Yagami
Character development unrivalled by any protagonist imo. I absolutely adore Light’s descent from pretentious godhood to profound villainy. A man lost in the ridiculousness of his ideals and aspirations.

7. Meruem
The ultimate anime antagonist. HxH’s most intricate, well-developed character, and the perfect foil to Netero’s pride. He’s also just an awesome, admirable Ant.

8. Rin Tohsaka
My favourite female character. Has an unrivalled character design, and an almost perfect tsundere balance. Her chemistry with Shirou is pretty good imo, and makes UBW my fave route.

9. Ken Kaneki
Oozes coolness, edge and grit. Has a sick design too. The way he acts as the optimal catalyst when progressing the TG story shows his prowess as a protagonist.

10. Roy Mustang
FMA’s cool-tempered, womanising badass. Mustang is reliable, powerful and an embodiment of coolness. Fire users are great, and there’s not exception here.

11. Shoto Todoroki
A slick design is representative of a calm, strong kid with MHA’s coolest quirk combination. Always steals the show when on-screen with flashy power displays and pretty dope dialogue.

12. Makise Kurisu
The loveliest character in anime. A ray of light in the at times grey and depressing reality of Steins;Gate. The glue that holds Okabe’s mentality together. A seriously wonderful presence.

13. Kaori Miyazono
Another bundle of sunshine, who effortlessly illuminates the show she’s in. Kaori’s musical performances, and meaningful messages take my breath away.

Hilarious, hyper-entertaining and an overall chad. The paramount parody character, with perfect story integration.

15. Gilgamesh
Cockiness, and unwavering self-indulgence define Gilgamesh’s character quite simplistically. However, just listening to his dialogue and observing his mentality show a deeper level to his incredible arrogance. A really interesting dude. Dope Noble Phantasm too.
