How do you claim to love anime but hate the BLM movement? How do you watch all these shows and not learn any of the morals? How do you enjoy a show where oppressed people rise up but when it happens in front of you, you get upset about it? It's because you're the oppressor.
Imagine watching FMA and wish they would wipe out the Ishvalans.
Imagine watching Attack on Titan and rooting for the Titans.
Imagine seeing the poor people in bleach remain poor and oppressed after death and thinking "that's good."
Imagine enjoying the slavery in Shield Hero.
All art is politics. Everyone writing and drawing these stories are trying to tell you something. Trying to teach a lesson. Aesop's Fables just became anime and netflix and all these other shows you purport to love. You don't love shit if you aren't understanding it.
If you watch One Piece, the oppression of the fishmen is just a parallel to the oppression of other races in the real world. Oda is fucking aware of that. He is making a goddamn parallel. He is trying to get the 13 year olds his manga is aimed at to understand that and you
are a fucking adult and cannot even wrap your head around a concept that is being written for a child. You cosmically fucking dense motherfucker. You black hole of insight. You are so fucking vapid that the idea that one thing might represent another is too much to take in. Jesus
I just can't anymore with this shit.
Nobody should have walked away from "Barefoot Gen" and thought, "I wish we could do more of that"
