It’s been a hell of a season and I’m glad it’s over and looking forward to starting fresh next season. I kind of lost the fun of the game after the corona break caused many of my plans to go down the drain, rank took a beating
with canceled games etc. Slowly managed to climb again the last few weeks when I started to follow my gut more and mute people’s opinions (hitting out Salah after his 18-pointer for Sterling’s 21 pointer, captaining Sterling against Watford)- moves that gave my rank a nice climb.
I’ll just mention a few things that have contributed in making this season more *fun* for me below.
I often read people give “trust your gut” as FPL advice, and it really has a lot to it and a lot of us don’t do it enough. FPL is just a game after all, so have a bit of fun with
I often read people give “trust your gut” as FPL advice, and it really has a lot to it and a lot of us don’t do it enough. FPL is just a game after all, so have a bit of fun with
it and have faith in your own decisions. Not going for the player you really want to go for and opting for the “twitter template move” instead gives a bad feeling if the player you really wanted ends up with a major haul (Antonio/Sterling GW36+). Not fun.
Podcasts are a huge part of fantasy for me and these are my favorites and deserve credit: @FMLFPL, @FPLSurgery. Favorite Norwegian podcasts: @Fantasyraadet, @WildcardFC & Hallo Fantasy. If you want to learn more or just have a laugh these podcasts are the perfect mix for that.
Listening to these podcasts is a part of my weekly “routine” and really helped me when I had just arrived in Australia and knew no one there, felt homesick and very alone. Still being able to listen to pods and have a laugh about FPL made me feel a lot better.

People I think are worth a follow: @FPLPingreen, @FplPotato. They’re both hilarious and have good banter. Same goes for @ChandlerFpl, @FlapjackFpl, @FplProp and @FPL_Partridge. All quality accounts if you like a bit of humor and fpl.

@BigManBakar and @FPL_Swe are people everyone should follow for their great content/threads. Also a shout to @roneildinho for putting in the work with a great fpl app @GetPlaymaker

@lateriser12 (makes amazing moves week in and week out) and @andreasta54 for making sure I never stand a chance in our mini league (this season he’s just been miles ahead all the time with ORs around the 100 mark. Not afraid of going the different route, super underrated account)
Last but not least. Obviously @FPL_Clarkie is an incredibly talented FPL manager. I always look to him for his hot takes.
Lastly, I’ve somehow managed to rack up over 2000 followers which has provided me with some great interactions and a lot of good discussions with different people. Thank you so much for that. I don’t know a lot of people who play fantasy/are really into football irl, so for me
it’s like having fun discussions about football with friends. :)
Thanks for this season. I’ll see you in pre season where we’ll be creating a twitter template together and where I’ll be trying to follow my gut more but will end up with the exact same team as the rest of you!
