Graphical problems aside, I think the style we're getting for Infinite is near perfect in 343 wanting to deliver a classic feel to fans while also not having to ditch their own established identity. With a bit more weathering and polishing, it'll look fantastic.
This is 100% the best that the Master Chief has looked. He retains the same beefiness present in 4/5 but has a mixture of styles from different armors we've seen him sport, mainly with the classic Mark VI leading the look.
I really really like the look of the Banished Captain here, but the armor could definitely use more grey/steel colored weathering to complete that Banished look.
I think the "Harbinger's" forces definitely need more glossy shade to them as well as the hexagonal pattern on their armors to give a real totally-used-to-be-Covenant-but-are-not-Banished feel to them. Realistic shading is nice but Cov tech as always stood out with sick shading.
We all know the shadows and lighting bring it down a bit, but the AR has immense detail put into it and the amount of polygons it has is most likely more than anything else in Reach. Digital Foundry has a fantastic video on this.
I think it's agreed upon almost everyone that the Banished Phantom...doesn't look the greatest. The design itself looks fine, but it should be scaled up in size and looks too clean Again, Banished designs need more dirtied and peeled weathering to fit.
I think it's funny that the VK78 Commando gets comments saying that it looks like it's from Destiny. I think it's because we haven't seen an in-game AR that isn't a bullpup styled firearm so it automatically looks off to some. I like it. It's new and looks beefy. Needs drum mags.
Nothing much to say about the the Warthog other than I'm happy the rails are gone and that it sounds MEATY.
I'm pretty mixed on the MK50 Sidekick. I like the more modern design that feels like a Sig Sauer firearm but I'm not too keen if this is the only human sidearm present in the game. I can only hope the Magnum is in as a heavier sidearm for us to use.
Drop Shield / Spike Grenades

Drop Shield looks like a human deployable cover from Halo 3 that is just a bit weaker but lets us recover and fight back. I'm interested to see how it lasts in MP. I'm also happy the spike grenades are back since they are definitely Brute gear.
The Spike Grenades basically the epitome of what explosive Jiralhanae ordnance should be and I'm glad that an appropriate piece of gear returned for the Banished.
Ravager / Pulse Carbine

The Ravager is perfect. Flat steel color, red explosive plasma round, giant blade...an amazing looking Banished weapon. Pulse Carbine is cool, but I pray it doesn't replace our classic Carbine or Plasma/Storm Rifle.
A few things here. The Mangler looks to work as a Brute variant of a heavy revolver, but it still retains a familiar Mauler silhouette. I'm thinking we can unlock an upgrade that makes this a Mauler because of the shells present. Slug < Buckshot.
The grappleshot already looks well balanced in this clip because it's not slinging you at mach 1 like Rico Rodriguez nor does it look like it's spammable. It has clear cool down and doesn't completely ruin the flow of combat. Excited to see how it will be used in MP.
Honestly the throwable Fusion Coils are the best thing here. This only expands the sandbox for new gameplay possibilities. Interactive environment in modes like BTB could seriously go for some creative plays.
CQS-48 Bulldog

I'm also kind of split on it. It's cool having a new drum-mag light shotgun, but I'm hoping it doesn't replace the normal M90/M45(D) and that they will be present as a heavier shotgun in the sandbox.
Not a big fan of the Banished AA cannon really. To me they just look like giant steel barrels on legs when compared to the Mantis or Tyrant which had unique coloration and sound design. May just need to see more of it.
The mechanic of Brutes launching Kamikazes is probably one of the more awesome things added to this game that I personally never thought of. It's total hilarity.
I LOVE this scene between Brohammer and the Chief. It's shows the whole dynamic of mission-priority Chief and normal-guy Brohammer, but still retains the humanity in Chief's voice at the end when he says they'll go searching for drives >together.<
Some say Escharum's speech at the end was pretty cringe to them, but I personally loved it. We have not had a main antagonist so bombastic and charismatic, especially from a Brute who wants to take on the Chief in a good fight, no matter if he wins or loses.
I'm particularly interested in these weapon labels here. I'm more than sure that this means when weapons get upgraded, it'll list off what current additions it has. That or it could just be easier identification. I'm getting Halo Online variant vibes here though.
