Those still committing violence and destruction in the streets are happy to help Trump. It’s not an accident. They would be marginalized by Biden, while rage against Trump justifies every excess.
Nonviolent protest, focused on the issues, is not the same as resistance and conflict for the sake of it, which quickly hijacks the issues and radicalized the people—which is what extremists on both sides want.
Trump will do everything he can to put violence in the news for the next 100 days. Sending his “little green men” into cities is just the start. Protesters can either help him or expose him as the would-be despot he with nonviolence.
