1- Adán 
Only played in a Copa del Rey match against Cultural Leonesa and played like garbage. I personally think he’s a great second GK, top 5 in the world. However, judging this over his only appearance this season…

2- Giménez 
Started the season OK, had good performances (vs Juve). Then he entered a slump, filled with injuries and wasn’t finding his form. After LaLiga’s return he found his form back and is arguably the most in form CB in the world.

4- Arias 
Although shadowed by Trippier, he was pretty good the whole season. Not many appearances, but when given a chance he didn’t disappoint. After LaLiga’s return he improved a lot and outperformed Trippier. We have great competition at the RB spot.

5- Thomas 
His season was like a rollercoaster, world class and poor performances back to back constantly. Thrived during big games, but never played three great games in a row. Although very irregular, his best season so far and very useful.

6- Koke
Massive first season as captain. Always performed great and helped the team even though he was booed by his own people at one point. Never stopped working and running this season, Simeone’s extension on the pitch. Admirable before and after LaLiga’s return.

7- João Félix 
Although many treat him like an utter disappointment, he had a good first season. Played well and had better stats than Agüero’s first season with us. Had a lot of injuries and the team overall wasn’t good, so he lacked help. Next season he’ll be class.

8- Saúl
Tough season for Saúl, played in a many different positions and that didn’t help him. Didn’t provide the defensive output needed at LB and slowed tempo at CM, his best games came at LM. Played every big game amazingly and after LaLiga’s return he improved.

9- Morata
A season filled with critiscism, but a great one nonetheless. Didn’t have very good and accurate finishing, but still ended as top goalscorer. Looked fast and did some great target man work, with that goal vs LFC being the jewel in the crown.

10- Correa 
There were two sides of his season, one at SS and one at RM. At SS he looked fast, good at finding spaces and at assisting. At RM he was formidable defensively, covering spaces great and sometimes playing RWB, but useless attacking. Good overall though.

11- Lemar 
Horrible, everything he touches turns to shit. Can’t make two good passes in a row, tries stupid things, losses the ball too often and is a bad player. 0 goal contributions in the season. Only game he played ok was vs LFC at home and he played 45 minutes.

12- Lodi 
Started the season great, adapting to LaLiga in no time, but then had a slump and Simeone kept putting Saúl at LB. He then returned to his form, made Salah look like a kid and looked like Filipe more and more. After the return, he has been one of the best.

13- Oblak 
Always utterly fantastic, the best goalkeeper in the world by far. This season he won us 24 points (TWENTY FOUR) in LaLiga and reached 100 clean sheets for Atleti. A complete madman and sometimes underrated.

14- Llorente
Half of his season was bad and didn’t have Simeone’s trust. Then he was subbed in against Barcelona and played brilliant and started playing well at RM. Then he entered against LFC and since that he has been world class as SS, our best player since that.

15- Savic 
Not recognised enough, always plays great. Seriously, can you remember a bad game he’s had this season? Many want him gone, but he always performs. Definitely our second best CB this season and had a brilliant series vs LFC. Always on my team.

16- Herrera 
Started great, with a massive goal against Juve and playing very well. At one point he looked like our best midfielder and the game he had against Barça was magnificent. After the Supercup he was very bad almost everytime, disappointing season IMO.

18- Felipe
Easily the best CB in the world this season and people who say otherwise it’s because they haven’t watched a minute of him. Not the fastest, but positionaly great and always knows what to do and when to do it. The signing of the season without any doubts.

19- Costa
5 goals during the whole season in 29 games, says a lot. Bad season, lost his finishing, power and speed. After LaLiga’s return he looked better, still looked pretty bad. Since the return he scored 3 goals, but really didn’t do anything else.

20- Vitolo
Bad season overall, but showed flashes of good stuff. At the start of the season he was great during some games, injuries prevented him from continuing his good form. After LaLiga’s return he looked better. Mostly impactful as a sub and not a starter.

21- Carrasco 
Great season by him, arrived and made a big impact. Before LaLiga’s return he was OK, nothing special. After LaLiga’s return he was one of our best performers no doubt. Looked electric, pacey and determined to work hard. Definitely earned his transfer.

22- Hermoso
He had a better season than people say he had, just had trouble when not given continuity. When he was given this continuity, looked fantastic. Formed the best CB partnership we had this season with Felipe, with the game vs FCB being a 9/10 performance.

23- Trippier 
A signing that surprised us all, he was truly superb. Always performed great and improved his defensive skills massively, plus, that right foot has whiped some fantastic crosses. After LaLiga’s return he was pretty bad, but overall a great season.

24- Vrsaljko 
Played very few games, but those in which he played he was amazing. Came back from a serious injury and he was out a lot, but returned in unreal fashion. His best game was vs LFC, he made Mané look like a Uruguayan league winger.

35- Sánchez
Manu played few games, but I think his season is worth assessing. Looked pretty good, specially after LaLiga’s return. Pacey, with good crossing and good defensive awareness. What I liked the most about him is his hard work and desire to give 100%.
