'THE HUGENESS OF TIME'

Hey smarties! This thread will take you on a VERY long journey, but Where are we going in this? Grab your popcorn & pull up a seat!

*Drum rolls*đŸ„

We are going to the end of the Universe!
I'll show you how DEEP time really is!

LET'S DO THIS
In the beginning! Nearly 13.8 billion years ago, all of space, time & energy was consumed in volume less than the head of a pin! For reasons unknown, this teeny tiny Universe began to expand releasing far more energy than anything has ever produced in the universe!!
And it has been expanding ever since! The baby Universe was super hot, it was dense & small ofcourse, it was hotter than the surface of a sun, hotter than the core of star, hotter than the heart of a dying star!
So hot that elementary particles like Quarks, electrons, neutrinos etc. they were slamming into each other very hard with incredible speeds! The early universe was chaotic, messy and filled with high energy light & soup of these particles, but here's the catch:
As the universe expands it also Cools down, so as it expanded further, got bigger & bigger in size, the temperature was dropping down and the speeds of these particles slowed down, they gradually began to attract/repel each other, all the slamming was over & .....
Electromagnetic force took over, electrons were captured by nuclei! And this is how ATOMS WERE BORN! this is known as 'Recombination'. Hydrogen was the first atom to be born.

Okay, now the universe was still hot! Very hot that matter could not still exist in it's solid form!
It was all giant gas clouds of hydrogen (mainly), the universe was still opaque. Now, hold on & take a deep breath!

The giant gas clouds of hydrogen were collected together by the force of gravity in on itself, they took a spherical shape due to gravity! & They began to shine
You know what these spherical gassy monsters were? THESE WERE THE FIRST STARS! THEY LIT UP THE ENITRE UNIVERSE WITH THEIR LIGHT, it was a light of hope, birth and life❀
So everything you just read from the instant of the big bang to the birth of the first stars was the 'PRIMORDIAL ERA' the first era of the universe.

Starting from time, t=0 to 400 million years!
Now let's come to the 'STELLIFEROUS ERA'. This is era in which Stars rule the night sky, in which we are alive looking up at them and wondering what is it about? And how it all began? This is the era in which galaxies are producing stars from nebulae at a pretty good rate
So, when will this era end? It will end when the last star ends it's life. See, the smaller the star is the longer it will live. So the smallest stars are Red dwarfs and their life span is about a trillion years. They're still infants, it will take about a trillion years to end.
As the last star dies, galaxies will begin to change their structure & Colours and they will go dim.

As the last star dies, it will be the end of stelliferrous era and the beginning of the DEGENERATE ERA! In this era, the corpses of dead stars rule the night!
The monsters of the night sky! As I showed in my black hole thread that stars form different objects when they die, the main 3 are:

White dwarfs, neutron stars and Black holes! Except black holes these 2 are supported by the degeneracy pressure inside them.
When our sun will die it will end up as a white dwarf, when Betelgeuse will die it will end up as a neutron star, these objects are tiny & hot when they are formed but as the time passes they will cool down too! They will die tooo! Why? Because they are made of particles
And it has been shown that those particles will one day decay, protons will decay too, it will take about 10^40 years! Damn that number is more than the number of stars in the observable Universe! We can't imagine it perceive these big numbers, it's unfathomable to us
Okay, as we are done with the DEGENERATE ERA, we enter into the BLACK HOLE ERA! in this stage these dangerous things rule the night! But you know what? Ugh i hate to say this but yes BLACK HOLES WILL DIE TOO!
Back in the 1970's physicist Stephen Hawking discovered that black holes emit particles under some conditions! Just like water boils up & evaporates, black holes too radiate energy and radiate their mass, totally vanishing out of reality! They die VERY slowly, for example:
A black hole of about the mass of our sun would die in 10^91 years!!!( 92 zeroes after 1) I don't even have an anology to tell you about this number it is just soooooo big😂

But yes black holes will die too! And as the last black hole ends it's life, we enter into the DARK ERA!
DARK ERA! THIS IS MY FAVOURITE, this era will stretch to Infinity! Time would not even have any meaning by then. Now, there's a mysterious pressure in the vacuum of space that's forcing the universe to expand & accelerate, known as DARK ENERGY
This dark energy will one day seperate all the dead galaxies (by then) from each other and the universe will go DARK! We don't know much about this dark energy, it's just placeholder name, we don't have a slightest of idea. But you know what? As his happens
The universe goes dark, all the lights in the universe and galaxies are turned off one by one, all the, the universe is now a super cold, dormant and a total silent place. It will sleep for the last time, for ever and ever.

My friends the universe is dead.
The universe will end not in fire but in ice and not in with a bang but with a whimper!
This makes me uncomfortable and unpleasant, but here's another way to look at it! Yes, we are small, we are finite, we do exist on this little window of time on this grand cosmic timeline!

But hey at the same time look at what we can do! You and I are the product of the big bang
Infact we should feel lucky that we are a participant in this great unfolding of cosmic events, even the slightest change during the big bang could have ripped everything apart and we wouldn't be here to appreciate this great Beautiful Universe in which we are in!
Look at what we have done! We have recently Learned how to write, how to talk, how to think. We build the pyramids, we painted Monalisa, we created music & the 9th Symphony, we did Quantum physics, we can do art, we can dance, THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN'T DO!
This is how I feel happy! There's a sense of gratitude and compassion, which takes me out of my bed every morning, this is why I do what I do

As always, keep looking up lovely peopleâ€ïžđŸŒ»
