how to: improve at osu

✨a thread!
1. drink more water! simply staying hydrated will make sure your eyes dont get dried out when youre playing osu! for extended periods of time. it also has a tendency to cool and calm you down so you dont get as stressed!
2. take breaks! as counterproductive as it sounds, taking breaks will actually be better for improvement. taking a walk outside or even just deep breathing for 15 minutes an hour can alleviate nerves and fix mindblocks!
3. eat well! studies have shown that fruits, vegetables and fish have vitamins that correlate directly to improved eyesight, reaction speed and muscle building. if you keep up a healthy diet your stamina and speed will likely start to improve!
4. have a healthy sleep cycle! as human bodies are made to operate with the circadian rhythm, sleeping well is a key factor in allowing you to perform optimally when youre playing. make sure youre getting at least 6h of rest every day!
5. exercise! actually, simple aerobic exercises and short workout routines that can be done at home in as little as 10 minutes is almost all you need. it helps a LOT with nerves and palpitations, and also gives you the boost in adrenaline you need for playing!
6. do your homework first! it sounds really crazy to say, but deadlines are one of the biggest reasons why your body is stressed. finishing it first will allow you to play with less worry and you'll likely perform better without the thought of homework plaguing your mind!
these are just some of the simple tips and tricks i have been using consistently, and it has brought me to where i am today! i hope this thread has been helpful, good luck on becoming the next osu! rhythm champion 😊✨✨
perhaps a clip is enough to prove what i have to say? 😊 https://clips.twitch.tv/MagnificentFancySaladBigBrother
