BORUTO THEORY: why Himawari will be the next 9 tails jinchuuriki
alright so im pretty sure many people have already thought and made theories about this and all but i wanted to talk about it with the clues and elements i believe foreshadow that Himawari Uzumaki will be the kyubi’s next jinchuuriki after Naruto.
First of all, this theory is only plausible in the context of Naruto’s death in Boruto (which i still believe won’t happen for many reasons but we really never know and that’s why i made this theory).
If Naruto came to die, he would have two choices, set Kurama free, or seal it in another human being like his father did, who will therefore become its vessel. We will consider the second option
There would most likely be two possible « candidates » for the next jinchuuriki, Naruto’s kids: Boruto and Himawari
As we know already, Boruto is the vessel of Momoshiki Otsutsuki, and therefore, i highly doubt that he would also be Kyubi’s jinchuuriki, it would be like... too much, and the character would be way too overpowered
Which leaves the second option being Himawari, his little sister. Now as contrary to Naruto, Himawari hasn’t really had a big focus on her in the anime (don’t come @ me saying yeah duh the anime is called boruto, like she’s still naruto’s daughter)
Like the only time we really see her in the anime is her being all cute and adorable, but besides the time she awoke her byakugan he haven’t really seen « badass Himawari » (ik she’s only like 10 lol)
She awoke her Byuakugan, but if you think about it, in the future, most likely post time skip, both Boruto and Himawari will become powerful shinobis and will fight in the front lines if there is a 5th great ninja war (or something similar, like an otsutsuki invasion)
Now Boruto is Momoshiki’s vessel, he is being trained by Sasuke, one of the most powerful shinobis alive, and is the son of Naruto. And what about Himawari? ik she is very young rn, she isn’t even at the academy yet, but we can only imagine what level of power she will achieve
We’ve seen how gentle and enthusiastic Himawari is with the tailed beast, like when she took care of Shukaku, she really worried about him the moment he « disappeared ». She is caring and loving with them, and ig that’s what a tailed beast would like its jinchuriki to be like
At one moment, she even asked Naruto if she could meet Kurama, and this could be foreshadowing the fact that she will, one day meet him and even become his human vessel
If Naruto came to die as I said before, and there would be another war or something like that, how cool would it be to see both Boruto and Himawari fighting in the front, representing Naruto’s legacy. And I can clearly imagine it being Borushiki and kyubi mode Himawari
so yeah, i know there isn’t really any real proof of this but it’s just a theory haha, and i think it would be really cool (i mean ofc i don’t want Naruto to die, im just saying that if the story went this way, i would rather have Himawari jinchuuriki than boruto
